Originally founded as a fashion truck in York, PA, we’re excited to now call Zelienople home! Boutique Blue’s owner, Beth Buenaventura, personally curates each piece in the shop to bring you a fresh selection that feels one-of-a-kind and far from the ordinary options of big retail stores. I started Fresh Nostalgia, now Boutique Blue, for one sole reason – my love of fashion which goes back a pretty long way. From when I was a small child, the youngest of five, I was completely obsessed with clothes, shoes, handbags…you name it. I would line up my mother’s shoes in her room and play shoe store for hours. If my mother dressed me in an outfit that I did not approve of, I would dig in my heels and have a look on my face like the one in this picture.
So from a very early age, it was important to me to feel good in the clothes that I was wearing. I was more confident, energized and alive when I loved my outfit.
In my teen years, I never thought to translate my love for fashion into a career, so I ended up at the University of Pittsburgh, graduating with a degree in Clinical Dietetics and Nutrition. While I had some amazing experiences in that field, it still didn’t feed the creativity inside me. Once I realized where my true passion was, it was an easy decision to build what is now Boutique Blue. Returning to the Pittsburgh area, I’m inspired by the close-knit community and charm of Zelienople and excited to bring a unique fashion experience to this vibrant town.
